Since 1976, City Limits has fulfilled its mission by publishing award-winning investigative journalism, documentary photography, creating new media and convening conversations that increase public awareness. Our print magazine’s archives (accessible online) and digital platforms have documented the issues and ideas that have shaped America’s largest city and the national urban agenda.

As the leading civic non-profit news organization in New York City, we’ve served as a training ground for some of our city’s top journalists, authors, and most recognized leaders.
