City Limits,

City Limits depends on foundations and philanthropic organizations for general operating support and special journalism projects to provide the investigative journalism and in-depth analysis to help citizens understand the people, the issues, and the civic pulse that defines New York City and its neighborhoods. This includes the national, state, and regional conversations and the effects policies and initiatives have on our local communities.

While our reporting has won numerous awards and serves as a training ground for journalists covering urban affairs, City Limits is one of the few places in New York City where journalists publish in-depth stories on civic issues and advocates and leaders depend on us to bring attention to the issues that are underreported by mainstream news outlets.
