ACCOUNTING CLERK--UHAB--Responsibilities:
The Accounting Clerk's major assignment is to serve as she will serve as the Accounts Receivable Clerk for all of UHAB's activities.
In addition, he or she will work closely with UHAB's Chief Financial Officer on internal and external financial reporting.
Specific Tasks:
Receive checks from the Office Manager, prepare deposits tickets, and make bank deposits; Manage the collection of Accounts Receivable, including keeping track of all open invoices and calling customers and other parties who owe us money; Enter data for all deposits in the computerized accounting system; Enter data for some UHAB disbursements in the computerized accounting system; Format and prepare monthly financial reports; Format and prepare special financial reports for internal use, or for banks and regulators, as requested; Perform monthly bank reconciliations on certain accounts, as assigned; Assist the CFO is preparing for and supporting the annual audits.
Qualifications: The successful candidate must be responsible and independent worker who could derive great satisfaction from managing systems that result in accurate information being readily available to those who need it. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate that he or she: Has a basic understanding of the principles and procedures of not-for-profit accounting; Has a high degree of comfort with computerized office operations and basic office software applications-- Knowledge of QuickBooks Pro is a plus; Is able to work in a highly organized and efficient manner, and produce a work product that is accurate and reliable; Is an excellent "multi-taker" who can keep track of a number of simultaneous projects.

We seek a full time Associate Executive Director of Program and Public Affairs.
Responsibilities:
* Developing with Board of Directors and staff, CCC's program and policy priorities and annual strategic action plan (or workplan) that ties together all program and public affairs functions of the organization.
* Managing program and public affairs staffs that are responsible for policy research, budget and legislative analysis, and government and public relations functions of the organization.

LEGAL DEPARTMENT PROJECT ASSOCIATE--UHAB--The Project Associate will work closely with the Director, Attorneys and other Project Associates, in the Legal Department on issues pertaining to cooperative conversions and preparation of buildings for real estate closings, including bridge loans, construction loans, and permanent loans. Responsibilities: The Project Associate will act as the main liaison between UHAB's Legal Department and Residents during the cooperative conversion process. He or she will be responsible for working with Tenant Association's in achieving a series of milestones to meet the cooperative conversion process. This position will entail equal time working in the field and office work. Fluency in reading and writing Spanish preferred. Specific responsibilities include:
Becoming familiar with and fully understanding all legal documents associated with the cooperative conversion process; Being able to present all the legal documents to buildings on the cooperative conversion process to tenants and Tenant Associations; Maintaining orderly files for each building and being able to keep up to date on all milestones associated with the conversion process; Keep a highly organized schedule of meetings with buildings; Filing legal documents necessary for conversion with the appropriate government agency; Being able to identify problematic buildings early on during the stage of cooperative conversion, and working with them to overcome obstacles; Collaborating with UHAB Development Staff and Organizing Staff throughout the entire cooperative conversion process; Including residents in the co-op conversion process to the maximum extent possible; Assist in the preparation of legal documents for real estate closings from time to time, including some clerical work.

Typical tasks include:
- Conceptualizes, designs and implements rigorous studies to address research questions.
- Develops quantitative analyses from data sources, including
administrative data available from CUNY, NYC Department of Education, Federal & State education data, census, labor market, city planning, and other sources.
- Conducts literature review, field research, focus groups, and
observations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of combined experience in policy analysis, education research (preferably higher education), or institutional research required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Substantial experience and success in the production of policy analysis and research focused on higher education.
- Ph.D. in Social Science or other discipline with formal training in quantitative research methods or a master's degree with extensive demonstrated research experience.
- Knowledge of key issues and concepts in higher education and
familiarity with policy issues in higher education.
- Strong background in quantitative analysis and comfort with qualitative analysis.
- Command of statistical software and MS Office suite.
- Excellent writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
- Collaborative work style.

The City of New York Human Resources Administration's (HRA) Office of Legislative Affairs is seeking a Senior Legislative Analyst who will coordinate with other agency staff to prepare the HRA annual legislative package for the City's Albany and Washington, D.C. Governmental Affairs offices; identify, interpret and analyze Federal, State, and local legislation to determine the programmatic, administrative and fiscal impact to HRA programs and client populations; prepare testimony and briefing materials for the Commissioner and executive staff; track and follow up on the status of constituent issues, as requested by elected officials; utilize a variety of research tools to prepare briefing documents and analyses for agency staff and other city staff relevant to the agency's legislative policies and proposals; respond to requests from elected officials.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies or a closely related field and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, or fiscal management, or in a related area.
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the areas described in "1" above.
Preference will be given to candidates with: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under time constraints as well as in a team; ability to quickly gather and synthesize information in a clear and concise manner: working knowledge of the City, State and/or Federal legislative process relative to health, welfare, child support and/or other related social services. Preferred credentials include a master's degree in social work, law, political science, or public administration.
New York City residency is required within 90 days of appointment.
