Earlier this year, the women's basketball team at Brooklyn's Nazareth Regional High School suffered the loss of their coach, Apache Paschall. Soon after, team members and other students at the East Flatbush school learned the facility will close at the end of this school year.
In the Hollywood version of the story, the Lady Kingsmen would have won their city championship semi-final on Thursday night and gone on to defend the title they claimed last year.
Instead, Christ the King edged Nazareth by a single point.
