A Year With Children
Presented by Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum
Learning Through Art, the pioneering arts-education program of the Guggenheim Museum, presents 'A Year with Children 2012,' an exhibition that showcases selected artworks by New York City public-school students in grades two to six. These students participated in a yearlong artist-residency program that partners professional teaching artists with classroom teachers in each of the city's five boroughs to design collaborative projects that explore art and ideas related to the classroom curriculum. Approximately one hundred creative and imaginative works, including drawings, prints, photographs, sculptures, paintings, assemblage, and outdoor site-specific art, will be on display during this five-week installation.

Misaki Kawai: Love From Mt. Pom Pom

This is an interdisciplinary art exhibition of new work by the internationally recognized Japanese artist Misaki Kawai, entitled 'Love From Mt. Pom Pom'. Utilizing painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, artist books and zines, as well as animation and video, Misaki will transform CMA's gallery into an imagined world named ?Mt. Pom Pom', where giant fuzzy animals and other colorful characters run wild.

A walk around the block becomes a trip around the world in the new hands-on, interactive 'World Brooklyn' exhibit, because Brooklyn is home to everyone from everywhere. At the heart of 'World Brooklyn' is a vibrant cityscape, shrunk to a child's scale. lined by a series of kid-sized shops that they can explore and particapite in a variety of hands-on activities. Life-size video projections of local performance troupes invite children to dance along to traditional Russian ballet, Irish step dance, Arab debkah, Bangladeshi folk dances, and more.
