Aabaraki
Presented by BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center
Known for deconstructing music to its bare bones, four piece band Aabaraki is Brooklyn’s own reduction-stutter-funk band. Last summer, the band released its self-titled album, Aabaraki and toured all over the east coast. This spring, they released The Emancipation Part 1. Their anticipated upcoming album was produced and crafted by band members and includes songs like "Happy Ending" and "Karate." Accomplished musicians in their own right, individually, members have worked alongside the likes of hip-hop band The Nillaz, George Clinton, Jamiroquai, Ari Folman-Cohen, Bobby Previte and Patti Smith.
