Salomé Chamber Orchestra Plays The Sau Wing Lam Collection of Violins

he Sau Wing Lam Collection of Violins is one of the finest collections of violins currently in private hands. For this performance series, a selection of instruments from the collection will be played by New York's dynamic young Salomé Chamber Orchestra and guest artists. The Eight Seasons Violinist and Salomé co-founder Sean Avram Carpenter and violist David Aaron Carpenter are the soloists in Astor Piazzolla's Four Seasons and Vivaldi's Four Seasons. These concerts are made possible by The Horace W. Goldsmith Foundation. Bring the Kids! BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center Presents Monk in Motion: The Next Face of Jazz

Presented by BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center


The BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center is proud to present the talented winners of this year’s Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition. This year’s competition highlighted outstanding drummers. Announced in September 2012, this year’s three finalists - Jamison Ross in First Place, Justin Brown in Second Place and Colin Stranahan in Third Place - will perform three solo concerts on February 2, March 2, and February 16, respectively. Each evening begins with a FREE humanities event (panel or film screening) at 7PM followed by the concert at 8:30PM. Tickets are $25 for each concert (students/seniors $15) or $20 for TribecaPAC Mainstange Members. All performances will be held at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, 199 Chambers Street (Between Greenwich and West St.) in Theatre 2.
