The 2013 Breakfast Club
Presented by Foundation Center
Back By Popular Demand!
The Breakfast Club: A Peer
Circle for Directors of Small
Development Shops
For full-time directors of
development with at least 12
months of experience and with
fewer than 4 staff members
(including you).
Would you like help deciding
where to put your energies
when your “to do” list is
getting longer each day?
Do you find the relationship
between your executive
director and your board more
strenuous and time-consuming
than the relationship between
you and your donors?
Do you feel you could do a
better job of “managing up” or
engaging program staff in
friendraising efforts?
And, do you need a reminder to
take care of yourself because
you feel there’s barely enough
time to take care of your job?
The Breakfast Club is a
monthly support group for
people like you, directors of
small development shops, to
share challenges and
strategies for personal and
organizational success. In an
informal, roundtable format
facilitated by Cause
Effective, members can share
their insights, gain practical
solutions, and remedy any on-
the-job isolation or stress
that they might experience. We
also include panel discussions
with member participants, as
well as opportunities to hear
from invited speakers.
The Club will gather monthly
on Fridays, 9:00-10:30 am,
beginning on March 1, 2013.
The Foundation Center will
supply the warm environment
and light breakfast, Cause
Effective the expertise, and
you and your peers… all the
rest! This program is designed
to be responsive to you and
your needs – so your ideas
will also help us shape the
program as it progresses.
