Rockin' To Save Babies' Lives

Presented by R Baby Foundation

Losing a child is extremely difficult and deeply painful and is with you every day -- deeply changing who you are forever as a big piece of you is missing. Losing a child where you know it was preventable and there was proven negligence in a court of law has no words. After we lost our daughter Rebecca to a misdiagnosis in an ER from a viral infection, I studied and read more medical documents than I ever thought I would. After reading and working with top pediatric healthcare experts, I can tell you that it is WELL DOCUMENTED that ERs are not prepared for babies and children. This lack of preparedness includes the specialized training, equipment and supplies that babies and children need to not only get the correct diagnosis and treatment but also to survive. So for the past 8 years, R baby has created life-saving programs, including one of which I got an email last week that the doctor attributes our training to his ability to have saved a very ill 3 year old boy's life. We have also successfully been able to create a definition and criteria for pediatric emergency rooms where one did not exist before. As you know, any little or big action can make a huge difference in this world. So please share this post, attend this event, spread the word, do something to help this cause that affects all families no matter their background. Nothing we do will bring Rebecca back, and believe me I think about her a lot as an 8 year old girl.. what she would be doing, saying, playing and even wearing... but instead Andrew and I treat R Baby as our 4th child and work so hard to make sure all babies and children get the best available emergency healthcare. Together we can really make a real difference. Please help R Baby help all our families. www.rbabyfoundation.org/concert --Phyllis Rabinowitz
