Managing Director, New York
Single Stop USA
One of the fastest growing and most successful organizations promoting economic mobility in the nation, Single Stop USA (Single Stop) uniquely combines the power of technology and the ingenuity of community organizations to help low-income families draw down billions of existing tax credits, work supports and services that go unused each year. Founded in 2001 in New York City, Single Stop sites have already helped over 700,000 families access $2 billion in benefits, services and financial aid for themselves and their communities. The Managing Director, New York (MD) will join Single Stop at a critical inflection point. Single Stop's flagship New York programs reach over 120,000 families each year and return more than $15 to communities for every $1 invested. With infrastructure in all five boroughs and key sectors including health care, libraries, food pantries, community colleges, and Veterans facilities, Single Stop is poised for far greater impact. The MD will leverage that network to more effectively and broadly connect low income New Yorkers to benefits and services that can move them out of poverty through more effective marketing, improved service delivery and new partnerships. These ambitious goals require Single Stop to deliver best-in-class grants management, operations and network development services to our funders.
The ideal candidate will be an innovative, visionary leader and thinker with demonstrable expertise in programmatic leadership, social service delivery, program operations, performance management, strategy, organizational design. S/he will bring a successful track record of stewarding funders and identifying and cultivating new partnerships, excellent management and relationship building skills, and a compelling public presence. S/he will also be self- directed, driven, and palpably passionate about building broad, sustainable change, with a style that inspires and compels others to deliver peak performance.
