Program Service Coordinator
Catholic Charities Brooklyn & Queens is a not-for- profit multi service social service agency corporation incorporated in 1947. Our dedicated staff and compassionate volunteers allow us to provide over 160 programs for children and youth, adults and seniors, the developmentally disabled, the mentally ill and the isolated. Catholic Charities, Brooklyn & Queens is seeking dynamic individual to join Caring Communities Supported SRO housing located in Bed Sty Brooklyn, NY in a capacity of Full-Time Program Service Coordinator.
The Program Service Coordinator (PSC) oversees the provision of safe, stable, and affordable housing for tenants living in Caring Communities SRO’s who have histories of homelessness, mental illness, and/or substance use. The Program Coordinator provides leadership to the property management team and facilitates a team approach to the collaboration of property management, social service, and maintenance delivery systems.
•Baccalaureate Degree in Business or Human Services.
•Minimum three years of work experience in housing/mental health/or related field.
•Strong Computer and bookkeeping skills are essential.
•Strong verbal and written skills are required.
•Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
•Ability to work in multi-cultural environment.
•Ability to appropriately assess, de-escalate, and intervene in crisis.
•Ability to train and lead team.
•Excellent coordination and collaboration skills.
•Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
