Hallets Cove House (Astoria) is one of our newest CR/SRO residences in NYC created specifically for the formerly homeless, mentally ill population. Opened in 2012 and home to 50 men and women, Hallets Cove is a tax credit building that also receives funding from the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH ), and offers a full array of rehabilitative treatment, vocational support, and self-help services to its residents.
The Program Director is responsible for the oversight of administrative, clinical and facilities management operations of the residence and ensuring the provision of quality care to tenants. He/She also manages program services, improves existing services and develops new treatment components to meet the needs of the residents. In addition, the Program Director interfaces with outside agencies for ongoing development of all aspects of programming and ensures that the facility complies with government, funding agency regulations and internal policies and procedures. Additionally, the Program Director is also responsible for supervision of all staff and staff development within the program.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or other related field required. Five years experience working with mentally ill/MICA adult population including supervisory and administrative experience. Experience working in an CR/SRO or any residential program setting. Familiarity with OMH regulations and low-income tax credits highly preferred.
