New York City Council Member
The Council Member is seeking a Staff Assistant to work in his District Office to greet visitors, answer the telephone and address constituent requests. The Council Member represents the 36th District serving Bedford Stuyvesant and Crown Heights.
Answers and screens telephone calls for the Member and other staff members and takes messages; Greets and screens visitors; Performs all administrative assignments; Assists persons who have appointments with the Council Member or the Constituent staff; Assists with processing of constituent mail; Ensures constituent requests are forwarded to the appropriate Constituent Liaison; Maintains literature regarding the district and Council activities, Signs for deliveries and forwards all materials delivered
The candidate must have a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years office support experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook and database software is required.
