Her Justice seeks a Database Assistant to support the administrative work of the Development and Communications department, with primary responsibility for the entry of all donations into the department's Raiser's Edge database and the processing of gifts in coordination with the Finance department. This position reports to the Manager, Development and Communications.
Manage and execute the timely entry of all donations, ticket purchases and pledges into Raiser’s Edge. Process offline credit card transactions and matching gift paperwork. Coordinate all financial transactions with the Finance department, adhering to daily, weekly and monthly deadlines. Maintain constituent records in Raiser’s Edge, including regular updating of records to reflect participation in events/meetings and changes in contact details, and other ongoing clean-up work. Produce queries and distribution lists for all department mailings and email blasts. Generate reports to track fundraising and communicate results, externally and internally. As part of the department’s administrative team, assist with the preparation of mailings, as needed. Participate as an on-site staff member at all events, as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education and experience) with at least two years of relevant experience working in a non-profit environment. Must be proficient in Raiser’s Edge; experience using NetCommunity and Friends Asking Friends/Sphere is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010, particularly Excel. Exceptional attention to detail. Effective at tracking and managing multiple tasks, details and deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively, positively and accurately. Motivated to work as part of a team. Occasional evening and weekend work required.
