Chief Operating Officer
Single Stop USA
One of the fastest growing and most impactful organizations promoting economic mobility in the nation, Single Stop USA (Single Stop), seeks a seasoned executive leader Chief Operating Officer ("COO") to build and support organizational infrastructure. Based in New York City and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the COO will serve as an important strategic partner to the CEO and member of the leadership team, and will be responsible for enhancing the internal organizational processes and infrastructure that will fuel Single Stop USA's continued growth and progress toward ambitious goals.
Single Stop uniquely combines the power of technology and the ingenuity of community partners to help low-income students and families access billions of existing tax credits, work supports and services that go unused each year as a way to help them move up the economic ladder and towards self-sufficiency. To maximize the reach and impact of its work, and to overcome traditional barriers to financing and scale, Single Stop partners strategically with a diverse range of community- based and higher education partners across the nation, building comprehensive fully integrated bridges between low-income households and the life-changing often siloed public benefits and services for which they are eligible. Spun out of the Robin Hood Foundation in New York City, Single Stop has helped over 850,000 families access $2.5 billion in benefits, services and financial aid for themselves and their communities in just the last five years.
The COO will be accountable for ensuring that the programmatic, technological, financial, and physical operations of the organization are mission-aligned and performing at the highest levels of excellence. The successful candidate will be a proven leader able to provide supportive management to the national leadership team, and bring a systems-oriented approach to ensuring alignment between functional areas. The COO will join a visionary senior team that is making measurable impact on a seemingly intractable challenge of poverty in America, with truly unlimited potential to transform the way services are delivered to those in need.
