Excellent opportunity for a non-profit budget professional with prior supervisory and relationship-building experience to join our dynamic Contract Budget & Billing team!
Our Manhattan-based Finance department seeks an experienced Assistant Director, Contract Budget & Billing to supervise professional staff in the billing and reporting of contract awards and to prepare and analyze financial reports for management and funding sources to determine financial status and viability of program operations.
Responsibilities include analyzing the issues and calculating the impact of open receivables; regularly interfacing with funding sources and senior management regarding rates, budgets, budget variances and related issues; preparing various cost reports at year-end for the Consolidated Fiscal Report; and preparing budgets, analyses and projects for existing programs and new proposals.
The ideal candidate will have Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with five (5) to seven (7) years of accounting experience including at least (3) at the supervisory level. Excellent budgeting, process improvement and spreadsheet skills are required. Knowledge of OMH, OPWDD, HRA budget models preferred.
