This position reports directly to the Director of Finance, but also interacts with the CFO and other members of senior leadership. This is a dual-function position:
Payroll Manager: The desired candidate will manage all activities necessary to accurately and effectively process weekly, semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls, including maintaining related records, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, medical benefits/401K deductions, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, align with HR in facilitating the flow of information, and preparing special reports for management. This position is also responsible for the resolution of payroll tax and other payroll related issues. Knowledge of state income tax laws and escheat laws highly beneficial.
Accounting manager: The desired candidate will perform highly specialized accounting and analytical work required to accurately maintain the organization's general ledger and financial reporting process; the candidate will possess solid budgeting and month end close experience and be able to effectively manage multiple projects at one time.
