Regional Organizers, People's Climate March
350.org is looking for two dynamic and extraordinary organizers to help build the regional excitement for the largest climate march in the history of the planet. This is a full-time contract through September 30, 2014.
About People's Climate March In September, heads of state are going to New York City for a historic summit on climate change. With our future on the line, we will take a weekend and use it to bend the course of history. In New York City there will be an unprecedented climate mobilisation - in size, beauty, and impact.
About the Regional Organizer Positions These positions are based regionally. One position is in the NJ/PA region, and the other is in the CT/RI/Western MA region.
The ideal candidates will have 2-3 years organizing and mobilizing experience in a fast-paced campaign setting. Experience should include working with local grass tops leaders, working with community organizations, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, running trainings, executing media events and actions, and developing outreach and mobilization plans.
Position Type: Full-time contract through September 30th. Application Deadline: This position is open until filled. Start Date: ASAP Compensation: competitive compensation based on experience Location: One of these positions should be based in the CT/RI/Western MA region, and the other in the NJ/PA region.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and in teams, highly responsive, and able to lead initiatives as well as take direction from others.
A car would be helpful for this position (reimbursable at .56/mile driven), but if a car is not available, 350 will pay for rental cars as needed.
