Policy Associate for Research and Data to assist in data collection and statistical analysis and maintenance of Keeping Track Online data: http://www.cccnewyork.org/data-reports/keeping-track-database/.
Conducting outreach to federal, state and city government agencies, universities, and research and policy organizations to identify data sources and make data requests. Collecting and analyzing demographic and programmatic data focusing on all facets of child well-being in New York City and its 59 community districts. Manipulating data to reduce complex information to simple descriptive statistics. Mapping data using geographical information systems. Experience: Experience working with large data sets; collecting, analyzing and organizing data. Experience producing data visuals and explaining data and statistics in non-technical terms. Use of SPSS, MAP Info, Excel. Excellent communication and analytic skills. Salary Range: Commensurate with experience. Competitive benefits package.
Masters in Public Policy, Economics, Urban Planning or Policy Analysis, or related field Requires minimum three years of related and/or applicable experience. Must have knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to child and family issues. Must reside in New York City
