The Social Work Supervisor is responsible for provide ongoing supervision and support to case managers, case planers, family support case workers and social work interns, and other program staff, ensuring correct assessment of cases and prompt implementation of service plans and follow up.
Supervision ?Provide 1 hour of weekly in-person supervision for 5 case workers in the Bronx, keep updated records of this weekly supervision as outlined by Program Director ?Review all case notes and service plans on a monthly basis, document the review in the system of records monthly ?Supervise and assure timely receipt of all documents required for preventive services ?Supervise and monitor weekly visits by case workers, ensuring that appropriate documentation is entered into PROMIS and CONNECTIONS databases ?Attend and monitor al Family Team Conferences and /or Family meetings ?Assess for proper service provision and safety and risk Management
•Serve as member of the organizational management team, including all scheduled and unscheduled trainings.
•Attend Administration for Children’s Services, and Office of Children and Family Services meetings sand events as needed.
•Recruit, assign, and supervise CFS interns, including MSW interns. Other ?Comply with Sauti Yetu staff development and training plan, including all scheduled and unscheduled trainings ?Attend and contribute to all Sauti Yetu staff meetings ?Collaborate with Sauti Yetu staff, interpreters, interns, and community liaisons ?Other duties as identified by Program Director and other supervisory personnel
•Bilingual in English and French, and preferably one or more African dialects
•Willing to undergo child abuse/neglect clearance and criminal background check
•Ability to understand concepts of preventive services and case management
•Engagement, assessment, and service planning skills
•Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations
•Self-motivated and ability to work independently
•Excellent writing and communication skills, especially ability to accurately record observations
•Ability to evaluate and interpret information, make independent judgments and decisions, and communicate with other staff and families
Master's degree (LMSW strongly preferred)
•At least1 year documented relevant experience, preferably with preventive services
