Accounts Payable Manager
This position is based in 350.org's New York office, in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn.
The Accounts Payable Manager will manage and coordinate the delicate dance of getting money out the door to our staff and vendors as quickly as possible to ensure that they perform at the top of their abilities. This position will also maintain the robust financial controls necessary to ensure money is properly spent and accounted for. The Accounts Payable Manager will manage cloud- based payments software for the receipt and processing of payments, process payments through check, ACH, wire transfer, and Paypal. This position will also manage credit and debit card issuance, maintenance, and reconciliation.
Highly detail-oriented, with a love of (correct) numbers, data management, and efficient financial procedures
Customer service orientation, with strong email responsiveness, enthusiasm to work with staff, and supportive but firm enforcement of financial controls
Solutions oriented approach to solving staff and vendor financial questions and issues
Excellent written communication skills
Highly skilled in personal time management
Two or more years experience managing organizational/company payments, including detailed familiarity with finance procedures and protocols
Two or more years experience in cloud-based payments software such as Expensify
Desired (but not required) skills and experiences
Experience with Quickbooks or accounting software
A degree in finance, accounting, or related field
