Description
State legislative organizer will help to coordinate the union's legislative and issue campaigns In Albany. Working closely with union's policy director during the legislative session to lobby elected officials on issues related to the union. Assist with the union's electoral work on statewide races and other electoral activities that will help to move our legislative efforts during the off legislative season.
State legislative organizer will help to coordinate the union's legislative and issue campaigns In Albany. Working closely with union's policy director during the legislative session to lobby elected officials on issues related to the union. Assist with the union's electoral work on statewide races and other electoral activities that will help to move our legislative efforts during the off legislative season.
Duties include: Advocating for the unions state legislative agenda that includes a path to higher standards for low wage workers, economic development and issues related to state procurement policy.
Developing relationships in Albany during the legislative session must be willing to (Travel to Albany 2-3 Days a week )
Coordinate special events such as lobby days in Albany and locally
Work to educate and engage the union's membership in state legislative campaigns.
Help to coordinate the state electoral activities and GOTV efforts
