Description
Director will oversee the joint two-year NSP2 (Neighborhood Stabilization Program)being carried out by the housing agencies affiliated with Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City (NHS)and the New York Mortgage Coalition (Coalition). NSP2 is the HUD-funded program being administered in New York City by HPD (Department of Housing Preservation and Development. NSP2's objective is to help vacant, foreclosed, and abandoned properties transition to affordable housing. Our program matches said properties with qualified, low to moderate income homebuyers and then uses NSP2 funds to help homebuyers pay a significant portion of their down-payment, closing, and rehab costs. Candidate must be well-versed in housing development, comfortable working with data in various formats including Excel and Access, and familiar with affordable lending issues in New York City. Excellent skills in writing, speaking, and dealing with people are mandatory. Candidate would be housed at Coalition offices located at 50 Broad Street, NYC 10004 reporting to director of Coalition. Compensation: $60,000 annual salary plus excellent benefits.
