Special Assistant to the Vice President FCSS

Description
Graham Windham, an award winning child welfare agency is seeking a qualified professional for our Manhattan location. The successful candidate will provide direct administrative, analytical and project support to the Vice President of FCSS and coordinate among program areas. Position requires professionalism and flexibility while providing support on various levels to the VP, including extensive interaction with program and agency staff, and external constituents.

Responsibilities:
Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Prepare and/or research information, provide analysis and develop reports and presentation materials for the VP’s use both internally and externally.

• Develop a full understanding of FCSS programs and oversight bodies, work with Program Performance and Planning around quality management and outcomes

• Assist in grant, RFP and program development activities.

• Prepare memos, minutes, reports, charts, graphs and other materials related to special projects and the regular operation of the division.

• Maintain information related to the content and quality of FCSS division.

• Take initiative in troubleshooting and completing tasks while respecting the often confidential and time sensitive nature of the work. • Act as a liaison with internal and external agents of the agency. Maintain professional communication within the work environment, among departments and programs, and cross divisions.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the VP.

Qualifications:
Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year accredited college and experience in an office setting and/or research setting or related area.

• Preferably experience in a non-profit organization and preferably experience with quality improvement initiatives and/or grant writing.

• Excellent organizational, analytic, written and verbal communication skills.

• Detail orientated with strong interpersonal skills and a sense of humor.

• Ability to multi-task and work independently in addition to working in collaboration with a wide range of constituents.

• Ability to represent the agency’s mission values and programs internally and externally.

• Demonstrate flexibility and good time management skills.

• Strong computer skills including Word Processing and Excel, Internet research skills and basic knowledge of database structure.

• Must thrive in a dynamic, ever changing environment.
