Responsibilities:
The Safety Monitor is responsible for providing security by protecting BronxWorks clients, staff, and visitors, and by preventing destructive acts to BronxWorks property. Essentially the Safety Monitor is there to provide a visual presence to give a sense of safety to all persons at the site. In addition, the Safety Monitor will be required to prepare incident reports as necessary and debrief direct supervisor. The Safety Monitor will conduct hourly rounds, secure the building, and demonstrates an awareness of important issues that may underlie or impact the request, inquiry or response. The position requires the ability to climb stairs and to walk long distances.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or the equivalent. Valid New York State Security Guard License. Effective oral, written communication and interpersonal skills. Prior military/law enforcement experience or Fire Drill Conductor Certification a plus.
