Description
The Children's Health Fund is a national non-profit organization supporting unique primary care programs for medically underserved children and families. We are seeking a Technology Support Specialist (TSS) to help support our information systems.
Responsibilities:
The TSS will have responsibilities for an array of information technologies at CHF, with special emphasis on maintaining our electronic health record system and its ancillary components.
The Technology Support Specialist will assist in managing and maintaining hardware and software aspects of our Linux-based primary and mobile systems and ancillary ststems that interact with these servers.
This position reports to the Chief Information Officer and is a member of the Information Systems & Technology department (IS&T) and the Center for Community Health Technology (CCHT).
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree and at least 2 years professional experience working with databases, software development, and understanding end-user needs. Experience with health care environments is helpful. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience with PHP, Perl, SQL, open source operating systems (e.g., Linux) and database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Candidate must possess excellent communications skills, especially when explaining sophisticated technical concepts to end-users. Candidate must have the capacity to work independently, as well as part of a team.
