Jewish National Fund
Jewish National Fund seeks a Major Gifts Fundraiser for Manhattan office. The primary purpose of the Major Gifts Fundraiser is to develop relationships with prospective and current donors to raise money for Jewish National Fund's National Campaign to support projects and programs for Israel. The Major Gifts Fundraiser will work out of the JNF Manhattan office and will be responsible for fundraising throughout the New York Metro area focusing on major gifts, growing JNFuture (Young Leadership group), and development of JNF's presence in Brooklyn and furthering JNF's presence in Manhattan.
Job Duties will include:
•Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle
•In partnership with the New York Executive Director, develop a strategy and plan for building prospect research, entry points, and major gift solicitations. Face-to-face meetings for solicitation, cultivation and recognition of donors, both new and prospective
•Developing and identifying major gift prospects
•Board and/or Committee development, cultivation and membership
•Providing professional leadership and management for Boards and/or Committees
•Other duties as assigned by supervisor
•The Campaign Professional should have at least 4 years or more of fundraising/sales experience
•A track record of success and progressive accomplishments in financial resource development, fundraising management, and experience in all areas of major gifts.
•Demonstrated success as a development executive with the ability to effectively create and execute fundraising/sales strategic plans, set and meet goals and manage operations.
•Strong understanding of donor research, identification, cultivation and solicitation, and stewardship.
•Excellent analytical and organizational skills; strong attention to details and the ability to balance a variety of tasks and deadlines.
•Experience with donor research and fundraising databases.
•Excellent oral and written communication, planning, and organizational skills
•Presence and high comfort level to interact effectively with the leaders in the business community in the NY metro area.
•A flexible and creative thinker able to find and create new giving opportunities for programs.
•An independent, strategic thinker with good judgment, sensitivity and common sense.
•Ability to respect and maintain donor confidentiality. Travel limited to the tri-state area and Israel on occasion
