StoryCorps Associate Director, Marketing & Communications Job Description The Institution StoryCorps is the acclaimed national nonprofit organization created by MacArthur Fellow Dave Isay in 2003. Funders include the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Atlantic Philanthropies, the National Endowment for the Arts, the MacArthur Foundation, and the Ford Foundation. StoryCorps has expanded rapidly in size and stature during its nine years in existence, and it is quickly growing into a national institution. Additional details at www.storycorps.org.

Mission The mission of StoryCorps is to provide people of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives. This is done to remind us of our shared humanity by strengthening and building the connections between people, teaching the value of listening, and weaving into the fabric of our culture the understanding that every life matters. By accomplishing this, an invaluable archive of American voices and wisdom for future generations is created. The Position With an annual budget of $6.4 million for FY2012 and 75 employees, StoryCorps is a rapidly expanding organization that is seeking an extraordinary individual to increase its visibility.
