Corporate Service Manager-Sandy Relief

Jersey Cares is seeking a highly energetic person to join the Corporate Service Team. For the immediate future, the majority of project planning will focus completely around Sandy Relief projects. The successful candidate will have a commitment to volunteerism and improving the lives of others, a self-starting, get-it-done attitude and a proven ability to organize complex processes. The Corporate Service Manager will plan and execute corporate volunteer projects, identify potential new partner organizations, and evaluate completed projects. This position has tremendous potential to grow with the organization.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Service, the Corporate Service Manager is responsible for planning customized volunteer service projects for Jersey Cares corporate partners and for engaging employees of New Jersey-based corporations in Jersey Cares Annual Events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Working with corporations to determine their needs and interests Identifying Jersey Cares Programs and Events that meet those needs and interests Working with other New Jersey nonprofit organizations to identify potential corporate projects Planning and executing hands-on volunteer projects, ranging from taking children to museums to painting public schools Creating supply budgets and noting proper reconciliation of project expense accounts Planning and executing Team Leader trainings for corporate projects and Annual Events Writing event-related newsletters and mailings

Qualifications include:

Bachelor’s Degree Business experience, including an understanding of corporate hierarchies, timetables and expectations Experience in nonprofit organizations, event planning, or business development Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills Excellent organizational and project management skills and attention to detail Effective presentation skills Ability to juggle concurrent multiple assignments and prioritize accordingly Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team Ability to conscientiously maintain own timelines and meet own deadlines Ability to establish, maintain and cultivate strong working relationships Professional demeanor, both in person and on the telephone Broad-based computer skills Ability to work with numbers and to think analytically about budgets A flexible schedule, including the ability to work late evenings, early mornings and occasional weekends as needed Nonprofit development experience is a plus

Salary: Mid to upper 30’s
