Director of Development, Audubon New York

National Audubon Society

Description

Audubon New York is the state program of the National Audubon Society, dedicated for 100 years to protecting birds, other wildlife, and their habitats. With its new strategic plan, A Roadmap for Hemispheric Conservation 2012-2015, Audubon is implementing multi-dimensional conservation strategies that will outline its conservation vision for another 100 years. Using science, education, policy advocacy, and community engagement, Audubon New York is working with federal, state and local government officials and agencies, local schools, landowners, community organizations, and our international partners—including 27 local chapters and eight centers—to identify, monitor, and protect bird species and their habitats. We believe where birds thrive, people thrive, and we are working to inspire a movement of bird conservation embedded not only in policy and business practice, but also in how we interact with the natural world.
