Description
Eye to Eye is currently seeking a dynamic, passionate and entrepreneurial leader to serve as the National Program Director (NPD) for Eye to Eye. Eye to Eye is the only national mentoring movement that pairs kids who have learning disabilities and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (LD/ADHD) with college and high school mentors who have been similarly labeled. Using an arts-based curriculum, mentors help their mentees understand their unique way of learning and thinking, building self-esteem and skills they need to become self-advocates. The NPD works closely with and reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), and is responsible for the operational success, coordination and administration of all aspects of Eye to Eye programs, including but not limited to Eye to Eye's chapter model, summer camps, and summer youth leadership conference. The NPD is also responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, leading and managing a growing professional staff of the national program coordinators, who are responsible for overseeing the Eye to Eye mentoring chapters.

Responsibilities:
The NPD performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:


•Plan the delivery of assigned program and their activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization
•Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the programs and which support the strategic direction of the organization
•Develop and implement a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
•Ensure that program activities operate within the policies and procedures of the organization
•Develop, implement and refine the Eye to Eye curriculum and its program activities
•Oversee the collection and maintenance of records of program participants for statistical purposes and assessment of program outcomes
•In consultation with the COO, recruit, hire, and oversee training, orientation and performance management of all national program staff and program interns
•Monitor and approve all budgeted program expenditures
•Manage chapter invoicing according to established accounting policies and procedures and according to the established timelines
•Identify and evaluate the risks associated with program activities and take appropriate action to control the risks
•Engage volunteers and interns for appropriate program activities
•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Qualifications The ideal candidate will:


•Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university
•Five years prior program management and supervisory experience, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting
•A strong belief in the power of mentoring and a passion for supporting youth with Learning disabilities and ADHD
•Proven record of establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally, to achieve the goals of the organization
•Creativity/Innovation: Develop new and unique ways to improve program operations of the organization and to create new opportunities.
•Has an understanding of Leaning Disabilities and ADHD.
•Highly organized and ability to wear multiple hats in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment; a driving force who manages toward clarity and solutions
•A successful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, guiding investment in people and systems, and developing an infrastructure that creates a stronger and more efficient organization
•Thorough understanding of project management; able to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and goals
•A consummate team player with a flexible and creative approach
•Excellent communication and coalition building skills with an ability to balance, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; high level of knowledge and understanding, especially as it relates to program replication, connecting programs to funding, creatively generating other resources, and building strategic partnerships
