Description
F/T Housing Specialist needed for homeless shelter working with single older adults.
Responsibilities:
Duties include:
* submitting housing packages
* contacting brokers and landlords
* escorting clients to housing interviews
* run Housing Readiness Workshop one evening a week
* maintain database of applications
* coach clients on interviewing and housing search skills
Qualifications:
Must have BSW or BA in human services field, be able to travel on public transportation, and be able to work one evening a week. Bilingual (Spanish) required. Salary: Mid-30s
Preferred:
Skills: Excellent engagement skills; good organizational and follow-up skills.
