New York City Campaign Finance Board
The New York City Campaign Finance Board seeks a mid-level Web Designer/Developer with CMS experience to maintain and enhance its website. The CFB is in the process of converting its website from static HTML pages to a dynamic Drupal-driven site. The Web Designer/Developer will be responsible for successfully launching and maintaining the newly redesigned Drupal site as well as identifying and implementing future site improvements. In addition, the Web Designer/Developer will be responsible for maintaining web reports and designing/developing an online voter guide outside the Drupal installation. •Finish and launch public site redesign using Drupal
•Update and maintain content contained in Drupal
•Develop internal communications portal on existing Drupal platform
•Develop and launch online Voter Guide for 2013 elections (outside Drupal)
•Work with programmers to integrate existing and custom web-based systems
•Record and broadcast live webcasts of meetings and events
•Identify opportunities for site improvements and research/implement modules to increase site functionality
•Capable of writing clean, well-engineered code that conforms to accepted standards within the Drupal community, and testing web applications
•Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other units and team members in a deadline-driven, technical, and design-focused environment
•Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
•Exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills
•BA/BS degree and at least 3 years of professional web development experience
•Experience in the maintenance and administration of content management systems, particularly Drupal
•Expert knowledge of XHTML/CSS, including the ability to write code based on Illustrator or Photoshop mockups
•In-depth understanding of cross-browser compatibility considerations and WCAG 2.0
•Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications
•Experience with Drupal module development and mobile-responsive site design are a plus
