Grants for Community Projects
Citizens Committee for NYC
Citizens Committee for New York City supports resident-led community improvement initiatives across the city. We assist groups with microgrants, workshops, and project planning assistance. Below are grants we are currently offering.
Love Your Block Grants: $1,000 grants to resident-led groups for block beautification, including planting trees, removing graffiti or litter, installing new street signs, and more. In addition to funding, groups will receive support from City Departments of Sanitation, Transportation, and Parks and Recreation. Applications are due November 30, 2012.

Community Grants: $500-$3,000 grants for community improvement projects ranging from community gardening and arts initiatives to tenant organizing and school recycling drives. We prioritize grants to community-led efforts in low-income neighborhoods and Title 1 schools. Applications are due January 31, 2013.

Hurricane Relief Grants: Grants of up to $5,000 for volunteer-led groups working on hurricane relief efforts. Applications are currently being accepted, and groups will be notified of decisions within a week of submission.
