Marie Runyon, the 80-something Harlem neighborhood organizing legend, has stepped down as director of the Harlem Restoration Corporation. Runyon, a former assemblywoman, who has been active in Upper Manhattan public life since the 1950s, will be replaced by Anthony Diggs, Sr. Diggs is currently director of the Graham-Windham Beacon center at I.S. 195. Diggs will come on board part-time until he can finish up his duties at his old gig in July.
