Robert Jackson
Robert Jackson represents parts of Morningside Heights, Hamilton Heights, West Harlem, Washington Heights and Inwood. A native New Yorker who was born and raised in Manhattan, he attended New York City public schools and later graduated from State University of New York at New Paltz. Prior to his election in 2001, he was Director of Field Services for the New York State Public Employees Federation (PEF). As the father of three public school students, he was the lead plaintiff in the 1991 campaign for fiscal equity lawsuit that successfully challenged the state's method for funding public schools.
